Antonyms

Many of you will have just received your child’s 11 plus results while others of you will be thinking of investing in tutoring to help prepare for next year. An antonym is a word that has the opposite meaning of another word. Understanding antonyms helps with vocabulary development and improves language comprehension. For example, the antonym of “happy” is “sad,” and the antonym of “hot” is “cold.”
