Number Bonds

Number bonds, also known as “fact families”or “number pairs,” are a fundamental concept in mathematics that help students understand the relationship between numbers and how they can be combined or split into smaller parts. Number bonds consist of a group of three numbers: two that are added together to equal the third, or one number that is split into two parts.

By the end of year 2, pupils should know the number bonds to 20. If you child needs some extra support, our tutors can help.
