If you have answered ‘yes’ to these questions then we would love to hear from you. You can complete the form on the website or contact us by phone.
As part of our agency:
- You can set your own schedule and manage your own calendar
- You will not have to complete timesheets. All payment is automatic once you have registered your job as complete
- You can write your own profile and will be featured on the website. Clients can see your profile when they browse the site
- You can offer either face to face, online tuition or both
- You can put your name forward for jobs that are generated from parent enquiries and the seasonal workshops that are offered
- You will be regularly sent the latest research and pedagogical studies to help inform your teaching
- We can help you to apply for your enhanced DBS check if you do not have one already
- When you join us, you will come to our base in Haworth for training or we can offer online training if you prefer. We will show you how to use our Tutor Cruncher software including how to set your profile, how to manage your calendar and book your jobs, how to apply for publicly advertised jobs, how to receive payment
- We are a corporate member of The Tutors’ Association. As such, you will sign a code of conduct and be able to access CPD and webinars
FAQs
What qualifications do I need to become a tutor?
All of our tutors are qualified to at least degree level. You will need to have a degree in the subject that you will be teaching if you are tutoring for KS3 or above.
Do I need a DBS check to become a tutor?
Yes, we are members of the Tutors Association which requires that all tutors have enhanced DBS checks and are signed up to the update service.
Do I Need to tutor a Set amount of hours each week?
No. We are flexible. You will have your own calendar on our system and can set your availability accordingly.
How much can I earn as a tutor?
Our prices range depending on your experience and qualifications; whether the client chooses face to face tuition or online tuition and which subject you are offering. Maths and physics tutors are often in demand and can often earn more money as a result.
